  •  Choose one of the following options on travelling to and from the Island.

Please note:  If you are bringing a 4WD, it is essential to confirm availability on the MICAT at the time of booking as the MICAT fills up quickly during peak holiday periods.  The MICAT also does not operate on Wednesdays outside of Queensland Public School Holiday periods. Your options on how to get to Moreton Island are:

  1. MICATIf taking a vehicle (4WD recommended) to the island, this is the only way to get there.  The MICAT departs from the Moreton Island Adventures terminal @ 14 Howard Smith Drive, Lytton.  Please visit the MICAT Website for more information on ferry times and booking.    To drive on the Moreton Island, you need to have a permit and display on your dashboard at all times.   To arrange a permit, you can do this via the MICAT Website at time of booking your trip.  Alternatively, you can arrange a permit from the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) website or contact Mulgumpin Camping on (07) 3506 2371.

  1. Tangalooma Island Resort Passenger FerriesIf you’re not taking a vehicle, we recommend travelling via one of Tangalooma’s passenger ferries. Departing from 220 Holt Street Pinkenba 4 times a day, the ferry trip is approximately 75 mins and will drop you directly on the Tangalooma Island Resort Jetty.    Please check the Tangalooma Ferry Times and Information Website for departure times and booking information.

Yes. Registered guests of Allure Beach House have access to resort facilities and free activities.

Dolphin feeding is not included as a part of the stay however you are welcome to watch the dolphin feeding from the jetty for free.

The resort has absolute discretion in allowing guests to participate (for a charge) in dolphin feeding activities. Please contact the Tangalooma Island Resort Eco Centre to discuss.

The MICAT will allow AWD vehicles on the barge however they often become bogged as roads and tracks on Moreton are sand and can be very soft during dry periods requiring low range 4WD to get from A to B.

Parking is available on the driveway or grassed areas surrounding the house.   Unfortunately, the garage is not sufficient for storing a vehicle however has space to store equipment.

No. Regrettably we are not wheelchair accessible.

No.  As Moreton Island is a national park all pets are prohibited.

We occasionally offer stand by rates and deals. These are posted on this website or our Allure Beach House Facebook Page.  Please follow us to take advantage of these offers.

Our cancellation policy varies depending on the property and time of year. Please refer to the specific property listing for details.

Before Your Stay

Allure Beach House is located at 11 Cassidae Crescent.

If travelling by 4WD, there is only one way to get to the house from the MICAT vehicle barge which is via Middle and Tangalooma Bypass Roads.  Middle Road is two-way however Tangalooma Bypass is a shared road with some blind corners so please be careful and keep to the speed limit.  For a map of how to get from the MICAT to the house, click here.

If you have arrived at the Island on one of the Tangalooma passenger ferries, from the jetty you can either walk to the house using the stairs behind reception or the shared concrete road, or alternatively catch a taxi which will take you from the jetty directly to the house.  We do recommend arranging a taxi if you have a lot of luggage or family/friends that would find the walk difficult as the ascent is quite steep.

To arrange a taxi, please contact Tangalooma Resort Reception on (07) 3410 6000.

Prior to your arrival, you will receive instructions via email on check in.

Allure Beach House includes a fully equipped kitchen, linens and towels (excluding beach towels) Wi-Fi, and HD TVs.

To help minimise the amount of items our guests need to bring, we have provided some added extras for your convenience including tea, coffee (some complimentary Nespresso coffee pods), sugar, salt, pepper, an array of sauces, spices and spreads. We also provide an assortment of cooking essentials such as oils, cling wrap, alfoil, baking paper and some paper towel for your use. The kitchen also has a good set of sharp knives for guest use (please be careful!).  We provide some dishwashing liquid, dishwashing tablets, washing detergents, and cleaning spray to help out with those little messes that happen along the way.  We also provide some toilet paper for your needs.

We want all our guests to enjoy their stay, so please use what is needed, however please leave the remaining items supplied on your departure for other guests to enjoy.
Please note: if you are wanting to bring additional coffee pods, the machine provided takes original coffee pods only, not the Vertuo style.
